Excel Mite Academy is a program for players 7 and under who began their hockey journey at the Hockey Hut. There is a new initiative in America to grow hockey, so the Hockey Hut Training Center has designed the ultimate program for young players and families. The governing body of hockey in America (USA Hockey) has researched and studied hockey development and has recommended an all “cross-ice” (Small Games) approach to skill building. The Hockey Hut, operational since 1997 has been running small area skills sessions for all ages and has seen the development of the area’s finest players for over 27 years. The small area concept works when the drill progressions are fun, fast and instructed by professionals. This is what we will provide for your skater with the addition of “Team” practice development and game concepts!!!
